Nature stay the best wedding photography location! As proven again with the bushveld wedding of Hendre and Lizel at the game lodge, Sediba Kwele, located in the North West province of South Africa. When you look on a map, Sediba Kwele is located between, Thabazimbi, Brits, Pilansberg and Rustenburg in an area known as Beestekraal. The bridal couple decided to have a weekend wedding where friends and family form all over South Africa can enjoy a whole weekend filled with fun. Sediba Kwele boosts with a variety of accommodation and most of the guests stayed over in the neat chalets; walking distance from the wedding reception hall. A nature wedding will not be natural if the wedding ceremony does not take place in nature… and here Sediba Kwele also set the trend by having the ceremony underneath a large tree in the open bushveld.
The gorgeous bride, Lizel and her bridesmaids used the guesthouse as their dressing room and the shady area outside where the chosen area for the pre-ceremony photography. Her close family joined us for some pictures and what an amazing group of people they are. Her cousin did her make-up and her sisters and mom helped with the dress. Lizel stayed in the room (in front of the fan) when the groom and groomsmen joined us for pictures outside the guesthouse. And as can be expected from creative people, it was all fun filled and natural – thank you guys for being so spontaneous ;). The men left for the ceremony to greet the guests, while Lizel and the girls enjoyed a last few minutes at the guesthouse.
The wedding car, a safari truck, collected the girls from the ‘bridal suite’ and drove through the bush to the wedding ceremony. As said earlier, one can not ask for a better nature wedding photography location! The sun was warm but Lizel and Hendre only had eyes for one another. After the ceremony the guests where transported back to the reception area with tractors and trailers and where welcomed with cold refreshments. After the signing of the wedding register, the wedding couple walked down the gravel road towards the dam. On the way we stopped at a cement bridge, lonely trees and a field of grass. The clouds at the water were amazing and the contrast of the bride and groom with the nature environment ensured a perfect balance in the wedding photos.
Lizel organised the whole wedding and even made all the decorations herself. Her husband, Hendre, is a sound and lighting engineer and he made a brilliant lighting sequence for their entrance. The food was delicious and they danced the night away! Every little detail was perfect – Hendre an Lizel – may your life together be as perfect as this very special day. Enjoy your nature wedding photographs and may they always serve as a reminder of the promises and love of your wedding day!
